It is a national high-tech enterprise with more than 20 varieties in four major series, including paper for the tobacco industry, ultra-low quantification special paper, high-end food packaging paper, and paper for luxury packaging.

On January 21, 1922, Yu Danping, a national capitalist, founded the Wulin Paper Company in Xiaohe, Hangzhou (now the Hemu District). The company was later jointly acquired by Zhu Meixian and Jin Runxiang, who established the Huafeng Paper Mill, thereby realizing the goal of saving the nation through industry.
In early 1931, the Huafeng Paper Mill began producing “Longpai” yellow board paper.
In 1948, the Huafeng Paper Mill began developing domestically produced “Longpai” cigarette paper and quickly began mass production.
In the 1950s, Huafeng engineers successfully developed major technological innovations—including the pressure headbox for roll paper machines, the honeycomb-type vacuum pressure roll, and the use of jute and bamboo husks as substitutes for hemp in the production of cigarette paper—which were subsequently promoted nationwide.
In the 1980s, Huafeng introduced key equipment such as semi-dry-press ribbed rollers, automatic control systems for moisture and ash content, and high-precision slitting machines, and successfully developed the 0103 cigarette paper.
On July 11, 2014, Zhejiang Huafeng Paper Technology Co., Ltd. was incorporated, marking the start of Huafeng’s second entrepreneurial journey.
In May 2017, Hangzhou Huafeng Paper Co., Ltd. ceased operations at its original location and relocated its entire operations to Anji, Huzhou, Zhejiang. All business operations were transferred to Zhejiang Huafeng Paper Technology Co., Ltd., marking the beginning of Huafeng’s second century of development.
In January 2018, the Centennial Huafeng Paper Mill was included in the first batch of enterprises on China’s Industrial Heritage Protection List.
For over a century, we have focused on specialty paper for the tobacco industry. We have been honored as a National High-tech Enterprise, Zhejiang SRDI SME and 3-Star Class-A tobacco material supplier, earning widespread industry recognition.
